CBJ worked with Southeast Alaska Watershed Coalition, ADF&G, Southeast Alaska, and MRV Architects to develop a Fish Creek Estuary Area Plan, which is now available to read here bit.ly/3v0jDh9. The plan will guide improvements to recreational opportunities and rehabilitation of the stream, estuary, and surrounding natural habitat.
Feedback from a survey (bit.ly/3ENKDUg) last summer and other public meeting opportunities contributed to the plan. It recommends a light-handed approach to both recreational amenities and habitat restoration. Suggestions include a new vault toilet, a paved parking area, trail improvements, and fish habitat improvements in Fish Creek.
