In October 23 lawyers had active licenses to practice law in cities in Ketchikan Gateway Borough

As of October, cities in Ketchikan Gateway Borough had a total of 23 lawyers in good standing practicing law, according to the Alaska Bar Association.

The number of lawyers remained the same as the previous month.

All of the licenses active in the month were granted in the city of Ketchikan.

Alaska has no law schools, yet it maintains a higher-than-average ratio of lawyers compared to the relatively low overall population. In Alaska, there are now 2,486 attorneys actively practicing law and a total of 4,160 lawyers licensed to practice in the state.

As of January, 2024, the average salary for a lawyer in Alaska was around $110,383 per year.

Data refers to all lawyers who were actively practicing during this period.
