5.1% of Sitka City and Borough residents considered unemployed in 2021

Sitka City and Borough recorded an unemployment rate of 5.1% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 250 people out of the 8,518 living in Sitka City and Borough at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Sitka City and Borough has increased compared to the 5% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Sitka City and Borough was less than the statewide unemployment rate of 6.5%.
