Census Bureau: 78.3% of people in Ketchikan Gateway Borough were old enough to vote in 2021

Of the 13,939 citizens living in Ketchikan Gateway Borough in 2021, 78.3% were old enough to vote, equating to 10,919 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 5,641 were male, constituting 51.7%, and 5,278 were female, making up 48.3%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Ketchikan Gateway Borough during 2021 was higher than the state average, which stands at 75.2%.
