The project will include drainage improvements in and around the shelters, replacement of playground equipment and safety surfacing, installation of new street and area lighting, construction of accessible parking stalls, and other miscellaneous work.

The Log Cabin Shelter will be closed for use beginning July 10 and will remain closed through August 15.  Some portions of the parking lot may be closed to parking during the project.  Pedestrian access to the shelters, public restroom, Treadwell Mine Historic Trail, and beach areas will be maintained but may have alternative routing at times.  Please follow all traffic control signage and pedestrian detours within the project area.
