Augustus Brown Pool is welcoming a new art project to the lobby! The project, titled "Celebrating Generations of Community," pays homage to the pool’s importance for Juneau children past and present. An aquatic mural will incorporate images of tiles from the current locker room showers—designed by Juneau second and third graders in 1999—alongside ceramic titles featuring artwork submitted by children today.

Aquatics staff are currently accepting artwork submissions from children 12 and under. Download a tile art template online at bit.ly/AGB50art or pick one up at the pool to create an artwork celebrating a favorite memory at AGB. Submissions are open through March 31 at the AGB front desk, one entry per child. All artists will get one free swim pass PLUS their name in the hat for the chance to win a one-month pass!
