The City and Borough of Juneau Parks & Recreation is partnering with Juneau Education Association and Juneau Public Libraries to bring StoryPath to the Overstreet Park Seawalk. Three books by Alaskan writers and illustrators will be featured over three weeks in February and March. Each StoryPath will feature framed pages of the story that you can read as you walk the Seawalk.
• StoryPath #1: The Woman Who Married a Bear – February 14-20A Tlingit story adapted by Frank Henry Kaash Katasse and illustrated by Janine Gibbons• StoryPath #2: I Would Teach You to Fly – February 21-27Written and illustrated by Sarah Asper-Smith and Mitchell Watley • StoryPath #3: Celebration – February 28 – March 6 Written and illustrated by Lily Hope and Kelsey Mata Foote
StoryPath promotes reading, physical activity, and getting outside. This year we are celebrating love, friendship and families.
After each StoryPath, there will be a drawing for the book. Simply complete the short survey using the QR code found at the end of the StoryPath and be entered to win your own copy of the book. The drawing for the first StoryPath book, The Woman Who Married a Bear, will take place on Tuesday, February 21.
