These Positions Typically Work 10-Hour Shifts Wednesday Through Saturday from 6:30am to 5:00pm

The Engineering & Public Works Department, Capital Transit Division, is recruiting for two full time positions; a Service Tech II and a Mechanic II. 

These positions typically work 10-hour shifts Wednesday through Saturday from 6:30am to 5:00pm and are located at the Capital Transit Bus Barn Maintenance Facility in the Mendenhall Valley. These positions come with full benefits. 

Service Technician II: This position is responsible for vehicle and facility maintenance and cleanliness, including bus stops and shelters. Duties include: washing; fueling; performing pre-trip inspections on Capital Transit Busses and support vehicles; facility cleaning; and trash removal. Starting pay for this position is between $22.65 and $24.18 depending on qualifications. See the job posting here: http://bit.ly/3RqWAF3

Mechanic II: This journey-level mechanic position independently performs routine and complex maintenance and repairs on Capital Transit vehicles and equipment. This includes diesel and electric buses, paratransit vans, service support vehicles, and snow removal equipment.
