Road Closures Notice
ETOLIN AVENUE
Contracted road work is occurring through Wednesday, October 12, 2022 to perform road patch work on Etolin Avenue. This work will require excavating the entire width of the road followed by filling this patch with concrete; therefore, Etolin Avenue will be closed to through traffic near the corner of Pine Street and Etolin Avenue beginning at 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 and is scheduled to reopen on Wednesday, October 12, 2022, at 4:30 p.m. During this closure traffic will be detoured to Council Drive.
ST MICHAELS STREET
The lower section of St Michaels Street (between Front Street and Church Street, otherwise known at City Market Hill) will be closed to all traffic beginning at 8:00am on Tuesday October 4th 2022 through Wednesday October 12th at 4:30pm. Please use an alternate route during this time.
THIRD STREET & MT DEWEY LANE
The Borough is conducting a stability analysis of the Mt Dewey hillside above Third Street from October 4th - 5th. While this work is being performed, a portion of Third Street and Mt Dewey Lane will be down to single lane traffic. Please avoid travel in these areas if possible and exercise caution if you cannot avoid these areas.
Public Works is asking for the cooperation of the community and to avoid these areas as much as possible. Please exercise caution if avoidance of these areas is not possible. Any changes or updates in the closure schedule will be communicated through another notification.
