Yakutat City and Borough ranked 14th among counties in Alaska by annual earnings per resident, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The median income of Yakutat City and Borough residents was $32,159 per year, adjusted for inflation. It had 219 households with a population of 649.

The county with the highest median resident income in the state was North Slope Borough with $51,525 per year after adjusting for inflation – $19,366 more than Yakutat City and Borough. It had 1,979 households with a population of 9,792.

The county with the lowest median resident income in the state was Northwest Arctic Borough with $18,986 per year after adjusting for inflation – $13,173 less than Yakutat City and Borough. It had 1,795 households with a population of 7,715.
