Yakutat City and Borough ranked 14th among counties in Alaska by annual earnings per resident, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The median income of Yakutat City and Borough residents was $32,417 per year, adjusted for inflation. It had 232 households with a population of 689.

The county with the highest median resident income in the state was North Slope Borough with $50,084 per year after adjusting for inflation – $17,667 more than Yakutat City and Borough. It had 1,966 households with a population of 9,797.

The county with the lowest median resident income in the state was Northwest Arctic Borough with $18,781 per year after adjusting for inflation – $13,636 less than Yakutat City and Borough. It had 1,860 households with a population of 7,734.
