Of the 2,518 people living in Haines Borough in 2019, 48.5 percent (1,221) were women and 51.5 percent (1,297) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the SE Alaska News.

Males 18 and over outnumbered females in the same age group by a ratio of 649-to-594. In the 65 and over age range, there were 268 females and 365 males.
