Of the 649 people living in Yakutat City and Borough in 2019, 45.1 percent (293) were women and 54.9 percent (356) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the SE Alaska News.

Males 18 and over outnumbered females in the same age group by a ratio of 238-to-167. In the 65 and over age range, there were 40 females and 54 males.
