COVID-19 Update*
University of Alaska Southeast will restrict Egan Library access to current UAS students, faculty, and staff
As part of the State of Alaska’s March 13 COVID-19 Health Mandate, Governor Mike Dunleavy closed all public schools to students March 16 through March 30. The City and Borough of Juneau has closed similar public facilities including libraries effective for the same time period. In concert, Egan Library will be closed to the general public March 16 through March 30. Understanding that UAS course instruction is ongoing and many UAS students will need access to computers, Internet, and academic supports such as tutoring and research assistance, Egan Library will remain open to current UAS students, faculty, and staff. Swipe card access (Whalecard) will be provided 8am -5pm Monday-Friday.
Academic support services within the Egan Library including the UAS Writing Center, Learning Center and Testing Center will continue in a variety of scenarios. UAS continues to closely monitor the evolving situation with guidance from the Department of Health and Social Services. There will be additional updates to the public when necessary.
