University of Alaska Southeast issued the following announcement on March 17.
Campus services update, March 16-30*
Egan Library will remain open to current UAS students, faculty, and staff. Swipe card access (Whalecard) will be provided from 8 am to 5 pm, Monday–Friday. We will be asking students who come into the library to spread out and maintain social distancing. Egan Library will be closed to the general public from March 16-30.
Spikes Cafe is closed until further notice.
Lakeside Grill is open today for to-go only. Starting 3/17, the Lakeside Grill is only open for to-go orders for Housing residents & students with paid meal plans. (No seating will be provided in the upper level Mourant building. Please observe social distancing measures. To-go container fees will be waived.)
The physical Writing, Learning, and Testing Centers will be closed to students. We will be providing writing and math tutoring virtually through email, video conferencing, and by phone.
