SouthEast Alaska Regional Health Consortium recently issued the following announcement.
Please join SEARHC Health Promotion for a FREE class series (you can also drop-in according to your schedule) aimed at chronic disease prevention through healthy lifestyle changes. We work to provide you with the tools, tips, and tricks to eating healthier, and increasing your physical activity.
Goals of the program are two-fold:
- Lose 5-7% of your body weight through sustained healthy changes.
- Do moderate physical activity for 150 minutes a week.
This evidence-based program was created by the National Diabetes Prevention Program but it's lessons are applicable to all lifestyles.
The class is every Tuesday from March 10 - May 12, 2020 from 12:15 to 1 p.m. We will meet in the small conference room in the Juneau Public Library Downtown location.
