At the University of Alaska Southeast, 55 percent of undergraduate students are nontraditional students – age 25 or older – and 65 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in Juneau enrolled 2,266 students in fall 2018, including 2,010 in undergraduate and 256 in graduate programs, data shows. 8.4 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

93 percent of undergraduates are residents of Alaska, and 7 percent are residents of other states.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (54 percent) and American Indian or Alaska Native (13 percent).

The school admitted 63 percent of the 499 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 69 percent enrolled.
